In this way classroom tutoring methods can be built on by using traditional mathematics subjects to a variety of topics & sub topics. Ideally, mathematics subject lessons should be a chance for pupils to engage with technical & inventive skills, ideas by linking the subject with a wide range of oral, written & even physical activities. At Key Stages one & two, this is particularly important as younger students — mainly those aged three to seven Key Stage one — will still be grappling with their oral & mental abilities to work with numbers & shapes, & to decipher specific patterns & calculations.
