Let Us Learn About Proper Fraction

If the numerator of the fraction is less than its denominator then such a fraction is called a proper fraction.

for example 3/4, 7/12, 15/23, 71/100........

The base number has always been larger than the top number. The top number, which tells you how many part you have, is called the numerator. The base number, which tells you how many equal part the strip is divided into, is called the denominator. If the top number is lesser than the bottom number we always have what is called a proper fraction. Proper fraction are always less than one value.

Example for Proper Fraction: we multiply the given proper fraction numbers 5/6 and 3/4?
Sol : Step1: we take this problem multiply the given values
Step2: proper fraction multiplication method just multiply the values directly
Step3: 5/6 x ¾
Step4: finally we get the answer for this problem
= 5/6 x 3/4
= 15/24
We divide 3 on both sides
= 5/8
